Registration of the expeditionaries José Naranjo and Ingrid Ortlieb in the office of the Auyuittuq National Park located in the Inuit population of Qikiqtarjuaq. Auyuittuq in the Inuktitut language means "The land that never melts". This registration was the previous step required for the expeditioners to cross the Akshayuk Pass with skis. The Akshayuk Pass is a pass between breathtaking mountains that connects the town of Qikiqtarjuaq with Pangnirtung that is located in the Cumberland peninsula. Both towns are located on the big Baffin Island in the Canadian province of Nunavut.
