TRAVEL PROGRAM
Day 1
- Flight to Ivalo. Transfer by taxi to Ivalo. Accommodation in cabin. Dinner and preparation of equipment for the canoe trip. The tour guide will explain the route in detail.
Day 2
Breakfast in the cabin. Transfer by private car to Veskoniemi starting point of the journey. During the afternoon a short stretch in a canoe to get used to the activity of rowing and adjust the equipment. Picnic lunch on route. Camping in one of the islets of the lake. Dinner in tents or outdoors.
Day 3
Depending on the weather, breakfast in tents or outdoors. Continuing the journey to Kaikunuora. Section between 10 and 15 km. Picnic lunch en route. Camping in one of the islets of canoe route. Dinner in tents or outdoors.
Day 4
Breakfast in tents or outdoors. Continuing the journey to the outskirts of a Lappish village called Nellim. Section between 12 and 15 kilometers of paddling. Picnic lunch on route. Camping in the woods near Nellim. Dinner in tents or outdoors.
Day 5
Breakfast in tents or outdoors. Visit the village of Nellim, with its peculiar Orthodox church built entirely of wood. Here we see the Russian influence, whose border is only 8 kilometers. Picnic lunch. In the afternoon we will continue the journey to the island of Lusmesualui. Section between 5 and 7 kilometers. Picnic lunch on route. Camping in one of the islets of the route. Dinner in tents or outdoors.
Day 6
Breakfast in tents or outdoors. Continuing the journey to one of the islands of Roggesuoltuun. From here you will have a vision of one of the widest parts of the lake. Section between 10 and 12 kilometers. Picnic lunch on route. Camping in one of the islets of travel. Dinner in tents or outdoors.
Day 7
Breakfast in tents or outdoors. Continuation of the canoe trip to the island of Levia Petajasaari. Section between 8 and 10 kilometers. Picnic lunch on route. Camping in one of the islets of travel. Dinner in tents or outdoors.
Day 8
Breakfast in tents or outdoors. Continuing the canoe trip to Ukonkivithe, the holy island of the Sami people. Time to visit the island. Then go to a nearby island. Section between 10 and 12 kilometers. Picnic lunch on route. Camping in one of the islets of the route. Dinner in tents or outdoors.
Day 9
Breakfast in tents or outdoors. Continuing the journey to Inari. This town is the capital of the Sami people in Finnish Lapland. Section between 10 and 12 kilometers. Picnic lunch on route. Camping in a forest near Inari. Dinner in tents or outdoors.
Day 10
Breakfast in tents or outdoors. Visita del Siida, el museo Lapón. Visit the Siida, the Lappish museum. A large exhibition area where in a didactic way is shown wildlife, landscape, history and culture of the Sami people and Lapland. Walking at your own around the village of Inari. Camping in a forest near Inari. Dinner in tents or outdoors.
Day 11
Breakfast in tents or outdoors. Transfer by private vehicle to Ivalo. Accommodation in cabins. Afternoon to visit at your own the city of Ivalo. Lunch and dinner at your own.
Day 12
Breakfast in cabins. Transfer by taxi to the airport of Ivalo. Flight Ivalo - home.
