This trip takes place in Whitehorse, one of the best destinations in the world to observe the aurora borealis, the most spectacular and brilliant phenomenon of nature.
During the day, we make an excursion by dogsled through the snowy forests of Canada, we could relax in a hot water pool and enjoy the winter landscape and we will make a snowmobile trip.
Optional activities are available, such as ice fishing and snowshoeing, walk through Yukon’s boreal forest, a long route by snowmobile or sledge pulled by huskies or an additional aurora borealis viewing tour.
Every night, we could observe the Aurora Borealis across the Canadian sky, enjoying a unique experience.
TRAVEL PROGRAM
DAY 1
- Flight from the country of residence to Whitehorse (Canada).
- Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
- In the evening, we’ll observe Northern Lights, the most impressive luminous phenomenon of nature. The viewing takes place at a cozy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks makes this experience even more enjoyable.
- Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- In the morning we are having a city tour including the following stops: Main Street, Train Depot of the White Pass and Yukon Route, Visitor Reception Center, Log Skyscraper, Log Church, Sternwheeler SS Klondike, Fish ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas.
- Transfer to the lodge.
- In the evening, we’ll observe Northern Lights, the most impressive luminous phenomenon of nature.
- Lunch by yourself.
- Dinner at the lodge.
- Overnight at the lodge.
DAY 3
- Breakfast at the lodge.
- Transfer from the lodge to the dog kennel outside of Whitehorse, by van.
- Today we’ll learn how to harness the dogs and hitch them to the sled. We’ll run our own dog team!
- Transfer from the “teepee” to the hotel.
- In the evening, we’ll observe Northern Lights, the most impressive luminous phenomenon of nature.
- Lunch by yourself.
- Dinner at the lodge.
- Overnight at the lodge.
DAY 4
- Breakfast at the lodge.
- We’ll enjoy driving a snowmobile. The instructor drives us to the site and gives us an introduction to the safety of driving a snow machine. After instructions and a trial run with our instructor we’ll be driving our own machine over prepared trails through the incredible winter landscape of the Yukon.
- Transfer back to your hotel in downtown.
- In the evening, we’ll observe Northern Lights, the most impressive luminous phenomenon of nature.
- Lunch and dinner by yourself.
- Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 5
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Excursion to the Wildlife Preserve. We will have great opportunities to view and photograph wildlife in its natural habitat: Dall Sheep, Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goat, Deer, Elk, Woodland Caribou, Wood Bison, Musk-Ox and Moose may be seen, usually up close!
- Short drive to Takhini Hot Springs. Relax in the hot water pool and enjoy the winter landscape.
- Free time to make optional activities: ice fishing and snowshoeing, walk through Yukon’s boreal forest,
long route by snowmobile or sledge pulled by huskies or an additional aurora borealis viewing tour.
- Lunch and dinner by yourself.
- Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
-Flight from Whitehorse (Canada) to the country of residence.
