Viiksimo in Kuhmo, is located in peaceful surroundings next to Russian border, is one of the places in Finland to see and photograp Brown Bears in its natural habitation.
During the night we have good chance to see and photograph Wolves and Bears. With good luck we might also see Wolverine and Golden Eagle. There is one large hide for 12 people and small photography hides for people who want better pictures. The large hide is comfortable with 12 seats and photography holes, bunk beds and dry toilet. The photography hides are for 2 people each. Each hide has 4 photographing holes to the front and one for both sides.

The largest lake in Lapland is called Inari and it is located more than 300 km north of the Arctic Circle. Its more than 1,000 square kilometers and more than 3,000 islands are nestled in the middle of the largest wilderness area in Europe. And right here is where we will travel. Our base will be a small charming hotel located in the small village of Inari, located beside the lake of the same name, which is the capital of the Sami people, the traditional reindeer breeders.

The Inari lake with its 1,000 square kilometers and more than 3,000 islands is one of the wildest and most beautiful landscapes of Lapland. Starting from a place near the small town of Ivalo, located at the southern end of the lake, day after day, we will move forward navigating among the islands, sleeping in tents and log cabins, to reach our destination, the northern settlement of Sevettijärvi.

During the route we will pass through the great Inari Lake among its thousands islands to reach the fjords of northern Norway on the shores of the Arctic Ocean. We also will cross frozen lakes, icy rivers and the snowy hills of the great boreal forest. We will sleep overnight in a cozy cabin with sauna and we will visit some tiny Sami villages, which still living from reindeer pastoral activities.
