Ski crossing on the Inari lake
Ski winter crossing on the largest lake in Lapland
The Inari lake with its 1,000 square kilometers and more than 3,000 islands is one of the wildest and most beautiful landscapes of Lapland. Starting from a place near the small town of Ivalo, located at the southern end of the lake, day after day, we will move forward navigating among the islands, sleeping in tents and log cabins, to reach our destination, the northern settlement of Sevettijärvi.

TRAVEL PROGRAM
Day 1
Flight to Ivalo. Preparation of equipment, dinner and overnight at hotel or cabins.
Day 2
Transfer by taxi to the point of departure, and then beginning of the expedition.
Day 3 to 9
Ski crossing on skis and with sled to Sevettijärvi. Nights in tents or cabins.
Day 10
Arrival in Sevettijärvi arrival. End of the ski trip. Transfer by taxi from Sevettijärvi to Inari. Overnight in hut.
Day 11
Free time to visit the village of Inari, the Lappland Siida museum and the possibility of buying Sami handicrafts. Overnight at hotel or cabins.
Day 12
Transfer from Inari to Ivalo Airport. Flight Ivalo - home.
Flight to Ivalo. Preparation of equipment, dinner and overnight at hotel or cabins.
Day 2
Transfer by taxi to the point of departure, and then beginning of the expedition.
Day 3 to 9
Ski crossing on skis and with sled to Sevettijärvi. Nights in tents or cabins.
Day 10
Arrival in Sevettijärvi arrival. End of the ski trip. Transfer by taxi from Sevettijärvi to Inari. Overnight in hut.
Day 11

WARNING
This journey has to be considered as an expedition where unforeseen circumstances occur, such as bad weather, bad ice conditions, bad snow conditions, etc. and therefore subject to change on the ground.
