Synopsis
"Nobody wants the Night" is the story of a woman in the American high society, Josephine Peary (Juliette Binoche), who in 1908 wants to join her husband, the explorer Robert Peary, and share with him the moment of glory to discover the North Pole.

While everyone and especially Bram (Gabriel Byrne), an experienced explorer, will prevent the dangers that lurk, Josephine Peary undertakes the risky venture ignoring anyone, accompanied by Bram and two Eskimos.

The film tells the epic journey of this woman for the most inhospitable places in the world, his adventures and his encounter with an Inuit woman: Allaka (Rinko Kkuchi), which will change its rigid ideas about the world and life forever . Josephine Peary must face death, danger and his own ghosts to survive in the Arctic night.

"Nobody wants the night" is a story of adventure, discovery, pain, survival and, above all, an incredible love story.
